Middle School Technology

Trinity Lutheran Middle School is blessed with a state-of-the-art technological upgrades. We believe that technology should enhance the student environment. Technology use is carefully supervised and regularly evaluated to promote focused and orderly learning. Security is a top priority for our students, families and staff. Trinity is vigilant about online safety, filters and blocks.

The Computer Lab is equipped with over 25 laptops for students to research in a classroom environment or check out for individual projects. The laptops are uploaded with various Math, Reading and Spelling applications.

We believe that diversity in technology applications is important at this stage. Trinity students graduate from working with Apple iPad devices in grades K-5 to developing skills in the Microsoft environment with the introduction of 1:1 Chromebooks in grades 3-8. The overlap provides students with the opportunity to master both platforms.

Students are instructed how to utilize Microsoft Office, interact on Google Classroom, attend Zoom meetings, design websites and coding for applications. Students also engage in research for product development and reports.

Trinity students and staff are well prepared for periods of online learning in the event of illness, snow days, or a global pandemic.

All classrooms have Promethean Boards – the boards are interactive and useful with various online curriculum programs. The Promethean Boards create a state-of-the-art interactive learning environment.

Upon graduation from 8th grade, Trinity Middle School students are well prepared to move on to a High School environment where they build from a strong technology foundation.
