
Pastor Dan was raised as a farm boy in Deerbrook, Wisconsin. He is one of 8 siblings. He is the only pastor in the family.
Dan has been married for 47 years, and has two adult children and five grandchildren.
Dan was a counselor and teacher for over 30 years before becoming a pastor. He was licensed as both an addictions and mental health counselor.
Pastor Dan received his seminary training from Concordia, St Louis, Missouri. He became a pastor on his 60th birthday. He worked as a full-time parish pastor for ten years. He is currently semi-retired working part-time for Peace Lutheran in Antigo, Wisconsin and Trinity Lutheran in Wausau.
Dan’s primary hobby is writing. He has published six books, and is currently working on a book project on the theme of a biblical understanding on addictions through Concordia Publishing House.
