Trinity Lutheran Church: Welcome to Our Family

TEACH the faith, LOVE the lost, CONNECT all to Christ

LEARN MORE

TEACH
We teach the faith in worship, small and large group bible studies, and confirmation classes each week. We believe that children should also have an opportunity to learn God’s Word taught at their level. With this in mind we continue to carefully select curriculum for our Sunday School, school and childcare.

TEACH THE FAITH

LOVE
We see a great need to love the lost and we do this by reaching out to members of the community and members of our congregation…meeting people where they are and forming authentic relationships. We work with families to foster lasting relationships for the care and development of their children in our childcare and school.

LOVE THE LOST

CONNECT
As we teach and love, we have the opportunity to connect all to Christ. That’s what being a Christian is all about. We are called to share the good news of Christ crucified with the world around us, and in doing so we should seek to connect everyone to Christ.

CONNECT TO CHRIST

Second Sunday in Advent
“The Lord is Coming”
Rev. James L. Mayland
7:30am & 9am Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the Upper Sanctuary
Trinity Lutheran Church & School
Wausau, Wisconsin

FOCUS For many Christian people, reading the Word of our Lord from a “red letter” edition of the Bible is a special blessing. Seeing the words of Christ highlighted in a special color may make them more immediate and noticeable. The last sentence with red words in those Bible editions is Revelation 22:20, in which the Lord promises: “Surely I am coming soon.” John, the writer of Revelation, follows with these inspired words: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” Those words became part of the worship life for many in the Early Church as they expectantly awaited the return of the Lord to the earth and the completion of His promised eternal kingdom. In the season of Advent,  we echo that ancient yearning cry: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”
