Teach the Faith—Love the Lost—Connect All to Christ

Trinity Lutheran Church & School is creating a new cross-generational outreach opportunity for our congregation and community called TLC Nights. TLC Nights will offer both Bible Studies and relevant educational programs with real-world applications on a variety of day-to-day topics. There will be three different multi-week sessions throughout the year, the first of which will begin on January 22, 2025 and last 6 weeks.

These evenings will begin at 5:15pm with an open house, fellowship and a meal, either prepared by one of Trinity’s boards/committees or ordered  from a local establishment. Meals will be provided by Trinity through North Wisconsin District—LCMS grants, Thrivent Action grants, and freewill donations. At 6:00pm everyone would then move to the education portion of the evening. There will be age-appropriate classes/activities for everyone.

For adults, there will be several education/evangelism opportunities. The intent is to offer Bible Studies, as well as educational programs that are centered in Christ. Bible Studies can include studying books of the Bible, apologetics/defending your faith, and the Lutheran Difference. Examples of educational programs include parenting classes; marriage and family studies; a focus on health, wellness, and mental illness; etc.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

Food: Through a grant we are able to either cater in meals, have a group of people come together and prepare a meal, or a combination of both. We need someone to coordinate the meals, as well as volunteers to help serve and clean-up.

Greeting/Monitoring: We need someone to serve as a greeter/host to guide people to where they need to be, whether heading to the meal or education hour afterwards. We also need people to help anyone who may get displaced.

Education Hour Topics/Bible Studies:

Preschool/Parent: This class is for parents with preschool kids. It will include lessons and quality fun time for preschooler and parent to spend together.

4K – 5th Grade: Combination of Bible Studies and activities – think VBS and Sunday School.

6th – 12th Grade: Combination of Bible Studies and age-applicable topics – geared towards our older youth.

Adult: There will be 2-3 offerings of Adult Bible Studies, educational classes, and/or topical studies that are designed to last just 8 weeks or less.
