Middle School Enrichment

Trinity Middle School offers opportunities for the students to participate in the Handbell Choir and Junior Choir. The Handbell Choir performs in the Spring School Musical, Sunday morning worship services, Wednesday morning chapel, the Christmas Service and various nursing home accompanying the choirs. Junior Choir is a more advanced offering where students learn to fine tune their God-given instrument of voice. The Junior Choir sings at multiple services throughout the year, and a participation grade is given for their involvement.

Trinity Middle School students can be involved in Student Council. The Student Council holds an election of officers and each candidate runs a campaign for their positions. Posters are very creative and convincing. Student Council plans and schedules an “All School Movie Night” among other student activities. They plan and execute various fundraisers throughout the school year, which fund the special events that they host. Overall, Student Council gives students a platform to show leadership among their peers, examine an electoral structure, and engage in planning and executing activities for others.

Trinity Middle School students are encouraged to participate in a ministry called FCA (Federation of Christian Athletes), where “huddles” are student led meetings. FCA exists to allow student athletes an opportunity to meet with other student athletes who are interested in learning more about living a Christ-centered life. Students who attend FCA meetings learn about what the Bible says regarding issues they face in and out of school.

The Spring School Musical has many major drama and solo parts, these parts require auditions and are offered to interested Trinity Middle School students. This is an opportunity to let students use their gifts to glorify God, develop confidence on stage, and share Christ’s love in front of an audience.

STEM Scouts helps girls and boys learn about science, technology, engineering and math through creative, hands-on activities, field trips and interaction with STEM professionals. This after school elective enrichment enhances what Trinity Middle School students learn in the classroom and has a hands-on model.
