Pastor Jim Mayland accepted God’s call to serve as Senior Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in October of 2022. His first call was to Trinity Lutheran Church, Livingston, TX in 2015.
His wife of 25 years, Regina serves as a staff accountant for Your Part-time Controller. They have two kids: their son Corran is a truck driver for Heartland Express, he and his wife Taylor live in Yelm, WA; their daughter Mara is currently a junior at Concordia University Texas, working on her bachelor’s and master’s in business administration.
Pastor Mayland is a native of Iowa and lived in the Twin Cities metro for 17 years before moving to Livingston, TX. He is a graduate of Drake University, University of Phoenix, and of Concordia Theological Seminary. Prior to enrolling in seminary studies, he worked in higher education as an adjunct faculty member for 10 years in math, computer science, and economics; director of research for a commercial real estate company for 4 years; and 10 years for the Minnesota Commercial Association of REALTORS as manager of the property data exchange.
Pastor Mayland enjoys reading, listening to music, road biking, and golf. He and Regina have a goal of trying to visit a winery in every state.
