Our presenter will be Mr. Gary Gisselman (Historian and Librarian—Marathon County Historical Society). His slideshow presentation will be on the early history of Wausau. The program begins by featuring the lumber and sawmills of Wausau. It will also feature the Wausau Group paper mills and Wausau into the 20th century, discussing Prohibition, the New Deal, and the changing face of downtown Wausau.
