Mrs. Prahl helps students make the transition to 1st grade by visiting & interacting with the kindergarten students in their classroom many times throughout the year. She tries to make learning fun! She is caring, loving, and compassionate to all her students. She helps children know what is expected of them, and assures they have the academic and social skills necessary to achieve their goals.

Mrs. Prahl loves teaching at Trinity because she can share the love of Jesus with her student’s everyday. She loves the class sizes which allow her to give attention to the needs of each and every student. She strives to accommodate and teach every type of learner-whether they are visual, auditory, tactile or a kinesthetic student.

Mrs. Prahl enjoys story time with her students. During this shared story time, her students learn about a mischievous mouse, a friendly neighbor with unusual cures for children’s behaviors, a pony and a crazy candy maker. Her class enjoys a trip to the pumpkin farm in the fall, a unit about penguins (you might even see her in costume) in the winter, a trip to The Grand Theater, and a day of outdoor education in the Spring.

When she isn’t teaching, Mrs. Prahl enjoys attending her youngest son’s sporting events, reading, family time, camping in the summer and watching the Packers.

Mrs. Prahl was taught early the importance of Christian values, by family and where she attended a small Lutheran grade school in her home town, grew up, and went to Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin, where she received her degree in elementary education. She has over 35 years of teaching experience. She and her husband Russ live in the township of Easton. They have 2 sons, the youngest is attending Northland Lutheran High School, the oldest graduated from Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School, and after serving in the Marines, is back home and working.

I want my students to know the love of Jesus as their Lord and Savior, share that love with others, and whatever we do, or how far away from Him we may go, He will always be with us, loving, forgiving, and waiting for us. That’s why I’ve chosen to work at a parochial school.

Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it”.
