My name is Abby Northup, and I am so excited to be the next director of Trinity Lutheran Church and School’s Early Childhood Education and Development Center. I have been in child education and development for the last seven years. I started as a support in special education, and I fell in love with the improvement and enrichment of early childhood education. I have been a lead teacher in a twos/threes Christian preschool setting for the last five years. As a classroom lead, I have supported a Christ-centered atmosphere while maintaining the standards of our school and licensing regulations. My certifications include 168 hours of continuous education outside of classroom instruction.
I am a mother of four beautiful children, and this year, I will celebrate 25 years of marriage with my high school sweetheart, Nolan. My oldest daughter just completed her first year at Marquette University, where she studies biological science, while my sixteen and fourteen-year-olds are currently at DC Everest Junior High. Stephen, the baby of our family, is finishing first grade at Weston Elementary.
I am so thankful I found my home in education and childcare later in life, it is never too late to find your calling.
