Appalachian Servant Event

The Appalachian Servant Event (ASE) is the longest running high school servant event in the LCMS and Trinity has sent a group ever since its beginning in 1981. The event requires high maturity and high responsibility. Light construction, painting, cleaning, and extreme digging of septic sites are the typical work experiences each year.

Approximately 35 youth plus adults from across the country spend nearly two weeks in and around Ashville, North Carolina and the mountains of Appalachia. The youth who come to ASE will make a difference in the lives of people through their meaningful work. They will make friends they may keep for a lifetime. Most importantly, the people who attend this event will leave with a deep connection to their Savior’s servant sacrifice for them personally, and be empowered to be Christ’s hands and feet when they return home.

Once again, Trinity will send 5 youth and 1 adult to ASE which is scheduled for July 12th-24th, 2024. Those interested should contact Trinity’s Director of Christian Education, Mr. Stengl for consideration.
