Ms. Sara is the lead teacher in the Little Lambs room, caring for and nurturing children from six weeks to twenty-three months. She also schedules the staffing needs of her busy and active room. Ms. Sara feels blessed to be able to work in an environment where she can see God’s plan for each child begin to develop.
Ms. Sara is a strong believer that children learn through play, so opportunities for independent play, side-by-side play, and cooperative play are encouraged throughout each day. Simple toys, games, activities, and art projects are used to help infants and toddlers develop new skills and learn new concepts. Ms. Sara also believes in the importance of daily connection with God. Children in her classroom will hear bible stories, sing Jesus songs, and pray before meals and snacks.
Ms. Sara has many years of experience in childcare since graduating from Wausau East High School in 1994. She worked for two years as a nanny until she married her husband in 1996 and they began a family of their own. For ten years she ran a certified in-home family childcare business while raising their three children. She then began working here at Trinity Childcare in 2007. A Wausau resident from birth, she and her husband are members of Trinity and have seen their three children attend and graduate from Trinity Lutheran School and Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School. Spending time with family, cooking, traveling, and photography are some of her favorite down time activities.
She looks forward to helping each child grow and develop new skills, play and make new friends, and most importantly, learn about the amazing love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Psalm 78:4, 6
“…we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done… so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.”
